Privacy policy

This website, hyprride.com, and the bike rental counter are run by HYPRRIDE, Vittal Rao Nagar, Madhapur, Hyderabad, 500081 (“HYPRRIDE”, “we”, “us”). HYPRRIDE decides how and why your personal data is used and is responsible for it.

This policy is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

When you book or rent a bike

• Name, phone number, email address and pickup/drop-off times.
• Your driving licence and Aadhaar card, which we are required to check before handing over a motor vehicle. We may keep a scanned copy in our booking system for the length of the rental and any follow-up (see how long we keep it). Where possible, cover the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number. We never need your Aadhaar biometrics or OTP.
• Payment and deposit records: amounts, method and reference numbers. We don’t store card numbers or UPI PINs.
• Rental records: the bike, times, kilometres ridden, fuel level, damage notes, late fees and any traffic challans.

When you apply for an internship

• Name, email, phone, college or company, the field you chose, your CV and anything you write about yourself.

When you message or call us

• Your number and the conversation, on WhatsApp, phone or email.

When you browse this website

• We don’t use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies. Our host (GitHub Pages) and the services the page loads from (below) receive your IP address and browser details as part of any web request, and may keep them in short-term server logs.

• To rent you a bike: confirm your booking, verify you hold a valid licence, hand over and take back the bike, and bill you correctly.
• To meet the law: keep tax/GST and billing records, answer lawful requests from the police, transport department or courts, and pass traffic challans issued during your rental to you.
• To protect our bikes and customers: settle damage, theft or accident claims and prevent fraud.
• To talk to you: booking confirmations, reminders, ride support and replies to your questions.
• To review your internship application and reply to you.

We process this data because you gave it to us for that purpose (your consent, which you can withdraw), or because the law requires it. We don’t send marketing messages unless you ask for them, and we never sell or rent your personal data.

We share only what each party needs:

• HyprVerse, our booking and fleet software, on servers in Microsoft Azure’s Central India region: bookings, verification details and rental records.
• Google (Gmail and Firebase): emails you send us, internship applications, and older bookings made through our previous booking form.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to chat with us there.
• Payment providers and banks: to take payments and return deposits.
• Police, transport authorities, courts or insurers: only when the law requires it, or to deal with an accident, theft or traffic offence involving your rental.

Some of these providers may process data outside India, under their own safeguards and as permitted by Indian law.

• Licence and Aadhaar copies: until your rental is closed and any damage, challan or deposit matter is settled. After that we delete them.
• Invoices and payment records: for as long as tax and GST law requires us to keep accounts.
• Internship applications: up to 12 months, so we can contact you about future openings. Ask us and we’ll delete yours sooner.
• Chats and emails: as long as needed to help you, and then deleted in our routine clean-ups.

The website is served only over HTTPS. Booking data sits in access-controlled systems that only HYPRRIDE staff who need it can open. Internship CVs are checked, emailed straight to our careers inbox and not saved on our web server. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, tax records);
• withdraw consent you gave us, as easily as you gave it;
• nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
• complain to our grievance officer and, if not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these, email hyprride@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. We may ask you to confirm who you are before acting on a request.

We don’t set tracking or advertising cookies. The site keeps two small, temporary items in your browser’s session storage: your light/dark theme choice and a short-lived copy of our Google rating and live bike counts, so the page loads faster. These hold nothing about you and are cleared when you close the tab. The map on the contact section is embedded from Google Maps, and Google’s own policy applies to it.

You must be 18 or older to rent a bike or apply through this site. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will tell you before it applies to you.

For any complaint about your data, a booking, a payment or anything on this website, contact our grievance officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.
